On Friday, the 1st and 2nd graders got a visit from workers from Brantner Transport Group and the WKO. The children learned about how all the trucks they see on the roads every day are vital to the transport of goods that are needed by families all throughout Europe. Many children brought with them a lot of prior knowledge on the topic and all showed a great interest in everything learned.
As a special treat, the children had a visit from a real garbage truck and were able to see first hand the “blind spot” in vehicles, which added an important contribution to road safety. This was especially exciting for all at ISK as everyone was able to sit in the driver’s seat and operate the device used to empty the garbage bins. A very fun day was had by all!
