Today, the entire junior high school at ISK Göttweig was out helping our environment. Equipped with gloves and trash bags, all classes set out to collect trash around the monastery.
This revealed some astonishing and, in some cases, surprising findings. Above all, the amount of carelessly discarded trash gave us all pause for thought. The students participated with great dedication and motivation, demonstrating how important responsible treatment of our environment is to them.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Brantner for providing us with gloves and trash bags for this campaign. We would also like to thank the monastery's building authority for ensuring that the collected trash was disposed of properly.
Due to the high level of commitment and positive experience, one thing is already certain: we want to repeat this campaign in the coming school year and thus set an example for environmental awareness and community action.
