Visit by an contemporary witness

The 4th grade recently had the pleasure of welcoming a very special guest: Elisabeth Ganglberger, a survivor of the Holocaust, visited our school and shared stories from her eventful life. She was born in Shanghai in 1940 to Austrian parents who had been forced to flee Nazism, and spent her early childhood there under difficult conditions. After the war, she returned to Vienna, where she built a new life for herself.

The personal accounts brought history to life for us and made it tangible. It was especially fascinating to hear about historical events firsthand and gain such a direct insight into times gone by.

We would like to express our sincere thanks for this interesting and enriching visit!
