Second-class cooperation with HAK Krems

As part of the cooperation project with HAK Krems, the students examined economic sectors and the most important location factors for companies. The aim was to gain a better understanding of economic fundamentals and apply this knowledge in practice.
First, the students learned about the three economic sectors (primary, secondary, and tertiary). They also worked out important location factors such as transport links, labor force, infrastructure, customer proximity, competition, and costs. This made it clear how important these factors are for companies.

The students then formed small groups and selected a company to examine in more detail. They assigned the company to an economic sector and described the industry, the history of the company, the products or services it offers, its target group, and its potential future prospects. Topics such as sustainability and advertising were also addressed in some cases.

The groups recorded their findings in a presentation. On January 23, they presented their work to the students at HAK Krems via Microsoft Teams. Afterwards, they received helpful feedback on the structure, design, and content of their presentation slides. They were given tips on how to design slides clearly and present content concisely.

Even though many students at ISK Krems were nervous at the beginning, the project proved to be very successful overall. The students expanded their specialist knowledge, improved their presentation skills, and gained valuable experience working with HAK Krems.
