The fourth-grade students had the opportunity to participate in two exciting art workshops at the Karikaturmuseum Krems. They were guided by the young artist Lea Witzemann and the art educator Clara Kreutzer.
The workshops focused on the theme “The Forest Through the Four Seasons.” First, the students sketched their ideas on paper using traditional art supplies. This resulted in a variety of images that vividly captured the unique characteristics of spring, summer, fall, and winter.
In the second step, the artworks were further developed digitally. Using the apps Book Creator and SketchBook, the students photographed their drawings, edited them creatively, and enhanced them with colors, effects, and digital design elements. This resulted in modern artworks that combine traditional and digital techniques.
The students were not only able to unleash their creativity but also gain valuable experience in working with digital media. It was particularly exciting to see how digital editing could transform an initial drawing into entirely new visual worlds.
The two workshops were an inspiring experience for everyone involved and impressively demonstrated how art and digital technologies can be combined. The 4th-grade class would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Lea Witzemann and the team at the Karikaturmuseum Krems for their creative guidance and the successful workshop days.
